About Seoul Garden Cary
Authentic korean restaurant
Seoul Garden Cary is a korean restaurant in Cary, North Carolina. It is listed at 815 W Chatham St, Cary, NC 27511, which places it among the local businesses of Cary that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.
Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Cary, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across North Carolina run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.
Hours are published for 6 days a week. On most of those days it is open 11 amβ9 pm. Note that it does not open on Tuesday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (919) 234-6002. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone.
On Google it holds a rating of 4.4 out of 5 from 991 reviews, which is a strong result for a korean restaurant in Cary and suggests consistent service.
Cary is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around Cary is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across North Carolina's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

My family has been coming to this restaurant for many years, dating back to when it was The Golden Pig. Weβve introduced many friends to it over the years because it was always one of our favorite places. Unfortunately, since the change in management, our recent experience was disappointing. I ordered the duk guk soup, which has always been my go-to dish. While the broth still had good flavor, it no longer included the shredded beef that it traditionally came with, despite the price increasing. As someone who is gluten-sensitive and canβt eat the dumplings, removing the beef meant the soup was essentially just rice cakes in broth with no protein. In hindsight, that may have been a blessing because my husband said his meal tasted like old meat and wasnβt able to finish it. The side dishes were still very good, which was one of the highlights of the meal. However, overall it felt like the quality has declined while the prices have increased. Itβs disappointing because we genuinely loved this restaurant under the previous management and have been loyal customers for years. Sadly, we probably wonβt be returning to this location and will instead continue visiting the Raleigh locati

Absolutely delicious! The squid arrived sizzling hot and was perfectly tender and flavorful. Great service and a lovely atmosphere, too.

Just a post to let everyone know Seoul Garden is open! They sold to new owners 3 months ago. In case any locals were missing Korean cuisine, hereβs the updated menu! The prices have definitely gone up. Though the food is good, I donβt know if we will be able to support the increase in price :(

Only in America do you find the best Korean food in a random part of NC. Usually I nitpick even for very good restaurants, but this place is just perfect. Im coming back NC from NY just for this place alone.

It's been a couple of months since we were here. We've been coming here since the place changed the name to Seoul Garden. We immediately noticed some differences. Menu is different, no familiar faces, no customers either. Friday at noon would seem weird to see only one other table in the restaurant. We couldn't order our usual dishes so we proceeded to try the new menu. Soontofu and galbi hot stone bibimpa. No egg in the soontofu. There were only 2 small pieces of galbi (with bones) in the bibimpa but it's a $22 dollar item on the menu. Again, the flavors were not bad but really didn't feel like anything was worth the money. The banchan (small side dishes before the meal) were never refilled through out our meal. Unfortunately, whenever restaurants change hands, quality and consistency usually suffers. We do hope this place makes it but we won't be back again.
